Fundraiser Roasts President of Hughes Development

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Jan. 30, 2015) – Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual Greenville Roast, presented by Smith Moore Leatherwood, our honorary Roastee will be Mr. Bob Hughes, President of Hughes Development Corporation. The Greenville Roast is the Ronald McDonald House’s annual comedic-fundraiser designed to “roast” community leaders all while raising funds for the House’s mission; providing families with more than a place to stay, it’s a sanctuary that keeps them close to their child, a place they are grateful for but never thought they would need.

The Greenville Roast will be held on Saturday, March 14th at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Greenville. Bob Hughes’ family, friends and colleagues will be on the “Roasting Panel” providing laughs for the entire audience. The Roasters include Merl Code, Ogletree Deakins lawyer and municipal court judge, Hayne Hipp, private investor and former CEO of Liberty Corporation, Cecil Nelson, Nelson Galbreath lawyer, Jackson Hughes, President at Hughes Commercial Properties and Bo Aughtry, President of the Commercial Division at Windsor Aughtry Co. The Emcee will be Bob’s son Robert Hughes. The group of roasters will have the evening to honor with humor and memories the man that has touched their lives and this community.
