Carlie Boese, President
Branch Manager, Robert Half
Carlie was born in Royal Oak, MI and grew up in Bloomfield Hills with her three siblings – Darby, Cameron and Bailey. Boese attended school at Indiana University, has a degree in Kinesiology, and is completely obsessed with the Hoosiers.
She has been in Greenville since June of 2010 when, after a short stint at UNC Pembroke, she accepted a position with USC Upstate in their athletic department as an Assistant Sports Information Director. Carlie has been published in Sports Illustrated and has attended over 500 athletic events in her short career as an SID.
Since November of 2010, Boese has been working with Robert Half, the world’s oldest and largest professional staffing firm. She currently serves as the Branch Manager at the Greenville location and describes it as her “dream job”.
Kyle Roser, Co-Vice President
Associate Financial Consultant, Charles Schwab
Born in Dallas, Texas, Kyle grew up in Anderson, SC, and graduated Clemson University ’04 with a B.S. in Financial Management. He work at Charles Schwab, and has been an investment advisor and retirement planner for over 10 years. Kyle has lived in Greenville for a total of 6 years. His wife, Elizabeth, is from Greenville as is their dog, Chuy. God, family, country, community, music, fishing, hunting, BBQ, running, college football, and of course, Go Tigers.
Katie Sanders, President Elect / Membership Co-Chair
Associate, Phillip Allen, Inc.
A Greenville native, Katie graduated from The University of Alabama in 2013 with a degree in Public Relations. After graduation, she worked as a Leadership Consultant for her sorority, where she traveled across the United State working with collegians. After her year of travel, Katie returned to Greenville to work as an Account Coordinator at Flourish, an integrated marketing firm founded in the Upstate. She assists with day-to-day account management and projects for many clients, including some nonprofit organizations.
Katie’s passion for Ronald McDonald House Charities stems from her experience in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, who has partnered with RMHC for more than 35 years. She has volunteered with the Birmingham, Atlanta, Greenville and Loma Linda (CA) Houses, along with the RMHC Family Room in Tuscaloosa, AL. In her free time, Katie enjoys Pure Barre, training for half marathons and cheering on the Crimson Tide.
After graduating from Clemson University, Samantha began her career in MiLB where she worked as the Special Events/Community Relations Manager for the Greenville Drive. There she was responsible for all Special Events at Fluor Field, oversaw all aspects of community partnerships, among many other responsibilities. “My love for the Ronald McDonald House began when I joined the Red Shoe Society six years ago,” she said of her current position as Communications and Events Manager for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas. “Now I am able to utilize my passion for events and communications to ultimately make a difference in the lives of others in our community.”
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Samantha spent most of her life in Summerville, S.C. She received her bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from Clemson University with a minor in Business Administration. Currently, she serves on Greenville Clemson Club’s Alumni Board of Directors and is also an active member of the Greenville Sports League, PULSE Young Professionals and a regular volunteer for The Family Effect’s Serenity Place.
Ashley Baur is a Greenville native and graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. After spending a few years in Asheville, NC after college, she eventually made her way back down the mountain with a newfound love for the city in which she was born and raised.
Ashley is the Member Relations Coordinator at the Commerce Club, where she plans member events and handles member communication. She loves being actively engaged in the community, and is a member of Red Shoe Society and Pulse Young Professionals.
Tais is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has always enjoyed learning different languages (She can speak 4 languages fluently). While living in Brazil, she worked teaching and coordinating an English as a Second Language School while earning her Bachelor of Arts in Portuguese and English Languages and Literatures. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Greenville, SC as an exchange student working towards her Masters Degrees in Early Childhood and Special Educations.
Currently, Tais is a teacher at Spartanburg School District 5. Prior to that, she was a Special Education teacher at Laurens County School District 56, where she was actively involved in the PTO board, School Improvement Council. and also served as the School Ambassador for induction teachers.
Tais enjoys outdoor activities, reading, shopping and technology. She is also very active in the community and loves volunteering: She has served as a Pre-school helper at The First Baptist Church of Greenville; she has also taught ESOL at the Greenville Literacy Association; she was a Technology Instructor at the Rolling Greens Village/Retirement Home for seniors and a Guardian Ad Litem for the State of South Carolina. Her passion for helping children in the upstate, led her to join the Red Shoe Society this past year.
Al is the Director of Inside Sales for the Greenville Drive. He has been with the company since 2012 and has held positions in a variety of departments including Marketing, Sales and Community Relations.
Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University. Al is currently pursuing his MBA degree from Clemson. Outside of work he enjoys sports, cooking and spending time outdoors.
John is from Greenville, SC, born and raised. He attended Clemson University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2010. He also earned his Masters in Professional Accountancy degree from Clemson University in August of 2011. John, a CPA, is an audit and tax manager for Pope, Smith, Brown, & King, PA, and has been with the firm since 2011.
Sam LoBosco has called Greenville home for the past six years. A native of Westchester County, New York and Portland, Maine, Sam graduated from Cornell University in 2010 and moved to the Upstate to work for the Greenville Drive Baseball Team where he served as Director of Entertainment through the 2016 season. When Sam isn’t around baseball, he enjoys long walks on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and a cup of coffee at any one of his favorite cafes.
Daniel has been a member of the Red Shoe Society since 2010, serving on the social committee as well as the board as a Social Chair. Additionally, Daniel serves as a committee member for the RMHC of the Carolinas Ronald Celebrity Cup Classic. In both roles, Daniel has assisted in organizing events that build retention among it’s volunteer members, develop a network of community partners, and raise funds to support the RMHC mission.
Professionally, Daniel is the Director of Sales for the Courtyard Greenville Downtown, with 10 years of experience in hospitality. Prior to that, Daniel served four years of active duty in the United States Air Force and an additional year and half of active reserve, completing two tours overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, receiving the Air Force Achievement Medal. Daniel graduated from USC-Upstate in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
Callie Michalak, Social Co-Chair
Assistant Property Manager, Commonwealth Commercial Partners, LLC
Callie Michalak is an Assistant Property Manager for Commonwealth Commercial Partners, LLC. She is a Greenville native and attended the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations. After college, she worked for the Five Points Association in Columbia, SC where she grew a passion for working with non-profit organizations, event planning, and being more involved with her local community.
Since returning to Greenville in 2014, she has become actively involved with the Red Shoe Society, Pulse Young Professionals and CREW Upstate. She also enjoys volunteering for local organizations like Meals on Wheels, American Lung Association, Greenville Animal Care, various City of Greenville events, and Tedx Greenville.
Amanda Murray, Membership Vice Chair
Social Community Manager, Erwin Penland
Amanda is a social-savvy professional with over eight years of experience in the marketing and social media industry.
Since graduating from the University of Miami’s School of Communications, Amanda has worked for many iconic brands like Ford Motor Company, Verizon Wireless and The UPS Store.
When she’s not exploring the social sphere and strategizing at ad agency Erwin Penland, you can find her voyaging the Carolinas, enjoying a nice glass of wine or playing with her new puppy, Colby – sometimes all three at once!
Dan Pannell, Development Co-Chair
Marketing Intelligence Manager, Michelin/TCi Tire Centers
Dan is from Ellenboro, NC where he grew up on his family’s beef cattle farm. After high school he attended Western Carolina University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Law in 2008. Dan also attended Gardner-Webb University where he earned an MBA in Banking and Finance. He moved to Greenville, SC in 2014 and loves living in the area. In 2015, Dan joined Michelin/TCi Tire Centers and serves as Marketing Intelligence Manager. Dan enjoys getting outdoors as much as possible, and volunteering in the community.
Anand is from the big city of Latta, SC. He graduated from Clemson University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He also attended North Carolina State University where he was a PhD Candidate and obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering before obtaining his Juris Doctor degree in 2012 from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Anand and his wife, Yasha, have been a part of the Greenville community since 2012. Currently, Anand is an intellectual property attorney at Dority & Manning in Greenville, SC where he primarily focuses on patent, trademark, and copyright related matters. In his spare time, Anand likes spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and watching Clemson sports.

My goal is to enhance and develop my community through outstanding financial services at every level. I believe that encouraging financial understanding and independence is key to the growth of individuals and families in Greenville. This is especially true of our young adults entering the work force with no prior credit or personal finance education. As a native of Greenville, I am passionate about seeing our community grow and thrive. I love being involved in that growth from both a business and community service perspective. I truly believe there is no better place to live.
