GREENVILLE, S.C. (Nov. 3, 2015) – Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas is pleased to announce its 16th Annual Holiday McGala will be held on Friday, December 4th at a new location, the TD Convention Center. Named “the best Christmas party in town,” this year’s McGala invites guests for a night of authentic Spanish cuisine, fine wine and entertainment all in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the TD Convention Center. Guests will receive complimentary valet service provided by Kia of Greenville. Upon entrance into the McGala guests are greeted with a unique selection of Spanish wines from Madrid sponsored by AVX Corporation. Next, guests may peruse a wide variety of more than 100 auction items ranging from weekend getaways to New York, Atlanta, Asheville, Charleston, Charlotte to restaurant experiences, local shopping opportunities and fine art desirable to anyone. A live, Spanish cooking demonstration along with Spanish acoustic music will entertain guests during the cocktail and silent auction. At 8:00 p.m. guests are invited into the ballroom where they will be transported back to Spain. During dinner a special performance by a famous Flamenco dancer will take place to begin the evening all in support of the Ronald McDonald House. After the three-course, Spanish dinner, live auction featuring a trip to Barcelona, and program, guests have the remainder of the evening to dance the night away to the sounds of the Mighty Kicks and participate in the “Social Wall” sponsored by Soul Yoga.

“This year’s McGala truly does invite our guests to Spain with themed food, drink and entertainment,” said Marti Spencer, Executive Director/CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas. “We hold the McGala to not only bring awareness to our mission of keeping families close to their children while receiving medical treatment, but also to celebrate our friends and donors we are so fortunate to have. It is through our donors in the Upstate community we have been able to serve families since 1989.”

The 16th annual McGala would not be possible without the generous support of the event’s other largest supporters McDonald’s GSA Coop, Greenville Health System’s Children’s Hospital, Baldor, Michelin North America and Tuffaloy.
