After a long, and sometimes an emotional, day our families look forward to coming “home” to a hot meal. Each night we proudly provide this service to them. We rely on community groups and organizations to come to the House and either cater in a meal or prepare it on site. These volunteer groups supply the food for between 15 to 20 people, we supply the kitchen. Interested? We have plenty of openings.
To keep our House feeling like a “home,” our volunteers bake fresh homemade cookies and other baked goods for our families on site. Our families love these sweet treats! This volunteer opportunity is perfect for families and groups, but individuals are of course welcome, too! Have a baked good specialty? Share it with our families! Brownies, blondies, and all types of cookies are welcome. If you or your group is interested in baking, we have plenty of morning to mid-afternoon openings available!
For more information about any of our volunteer opportunities, please contact: Rose Woelker, Volunteer Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
House volunteers are always needed to help with general office tasks, yard work, or general cleanup. Are weekdays your thing? We seek volunteers Monday – Friday between 8am to 5pm to assist with housekeeping and office work, or from 4pm to 7pm to assist our Night Manager with various household tasks. Weekend house volunteer opportunities range depending on your group size, time, time of the year, and interest. If you have an expertise in a particular area and would like to donate your services, please get in touch! We have special renovation projects that need attention from time to time.
You can support our fundraising events by volunteering your time and talent any of our House events: the Greenville Roast, the Reedy River Jazz & Wine Festival, the Ronald Cup, the Red Shoe Society’s Greenville Royale, or the McGala. Family Room Volunteer
The Ronald McDonald House Family Room is located in the lobby of the Children’s Hospital of Greenville Health System. Volunteers work 3-4 hour increments during weekdays, evenings or weekends. The role of these Family Room volunteers act as hosts/hostess to parents and siblings using the room’s resources. We offer families a place to rest and regroup right at the hospital, just moments away from their sick child where they can enjoy drinks, snacks, computers, television, and educational material. In order to volunteer at GHS, the Hospital requires yearly immunizations, a background check, physician referral, and an online test.
