Leave a Legacy for the Ronald McDonald House

Here are some of the easiest and most common ways to begin planning your legacy.

If you have already included a future gift for our House in your plans, you are eligible for membership in our Legacy Circle. Please let us know of your intentions so we can thank you for your compassion and properly recognize you for your generosity.

Designate RMHCC as a beneficiary of your estate by will, trust, or other instrument

  • Name RMHCC as primary, partial or contingent beneficiary.
  • If you are age 70 1/2 or older, you may also make a gift to RMHCC from your required minimum distribution
  • Beneficiary at Death

    • Name RMHCC as beneficiary of your life insurance policy

  • Transfer of policy ownership

    • Transfer ownership of your life insurance policy to RMHCC, while you remain the insured
    • You make tax-deductible annual contributions to
    • RMHCC each year in the amount of the policy premiums
      RMHCC is beneficiary at your death

Transfer your assets to fund a charitable trust that pays one or more designated beneficiaries a fixed amount, typically for life, then the balance to RMHCC

  • Transfer your assets to fund a lead trust that makes a gift to RMHCC for a number of years
  • You receive a charitable deduction for the gift
  • Your family receives the remainder at substantial tax savings
