The Ronald McDonald House Carolinas (RMHC) is proud to announce the success of its annual Plane Pull event, made possible through the dedication and leadership of the Red Shoe Society (RSS). Their hard work in planning and executing the event brought together teams, families and community members for an action-packed day where strength, teamwork and compassion collided. Together, teams pulled a real airplane across the tarmac, racing against the clock for bragging rights, prizes and the pride of making a meaningful impact on families served by RMHC.
The 2026 Plane Pull was made possible in part through the generous support of Presenting Sponsor ATS Logistics Services, Inc., a company dedicated to providing outstanding transportation and logistics services to businesses throughout the Upstate. ATS’s commitment to supporting RMHC and the families it serves played an important role in making this year’s event a success. Thanks to the generosity of ATS, participating teams and community supporters, the event welcomed approximately 130
attendees and generated more than $26,000 in donations, equivalent to roughly 292 nights of accommodation for families staying at the House.
Children were not left out of the excitement, as they, too, had the opportunity to pull a Cessna Whirlwind, courtesy of the Greenville Downtown Airport! Spectators were amazed by just how strong these children were. In one memorable moment, two people had to stop the plane after the children pulled it with even more strength and enthusiasm than expected! Their determination was a wonderful reminder that teamwork can accomplish amazing things.
Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Carolinas were also able to join in the fun, thanks in part to the generosity of staff from Shriners Children’s Hospital, who volunteered their Saturday to provide
transportation. The smile on the families’ faces and the joy they brought to the event served as a heartfelt reminder to everyone in attendance why the Plane Pull matters. The event’s success was a testament to the generosity
of the Greenville community, the enthusiasm of participating teams and the continued support of sponsors who help RMHC provide comfort and care for families when they need it most.
As RMHC looks ahead to 2027, the organization looks forward to welcoming the community back for another exciting day of teamwork, community spirit and making a difference!
