GREENVILLE ROAST, Featuring Bob Hughes
Greenville Developer Bob Hughes can run, but he can’t hide from our third annual Roast! Come join us for a night of fun and laughter, all at the expense of one of the biggest names in Greenville.
President of Hughes Development Corporation, Bob Hughes is associated with almost every building in the ever-changing Greenville skyline. His latest projects include Project One, the expansion of RiverPlace, and the Next building.
A leader in our Greenville community, Hughes is a senior advisor for the Liberty Fellowship, a chairman of the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, board trustee of University Center, board member of Greenville County Schools Foundation, and a member of the South Carolina Bar Association.
Hughes’s great achievements and community involvement will be put aside for one night, all for a great cause. Hughes will be on the receiving end of jokes, jabs, and barbs from his close friends and colleagues.
The panel of roasters include lawyer, municipal court judge, and former professional football player Merl Code, along with private investor and former CEO of Liberty Corporation, Hayne Hipp, and 2013 “Lawyer of the Year” in the area of Real Estate Litigation by Best Lawyers in America, Cecil Nelson.
Hughes’s son, Robert, who also works for Hughes Development Corporation will be able to get a few jokes in as well, as the Emcee for the evening.
Join some of the biggest names in Greenville on Saturday March 14, 2015 for a few laughs for a great cause—all proceeds go to helping families in need at the Ronald McDonald House.
Start the night off with a cocktail hour from 6-7, and then enjoy dinner and the roast from 7-8:30.
